Our Story
Mat Frog started on the mats.
I originally joined a martial arts academy for kickboxing. Then I decided to try Jiu-Jitsu — and I fell in love with it.
As I got deeper into training, I started buying more No-Gi gear and noticed a frustrating gap. A lot of rash guards and fight shorts seemed to fall into one of two categories: high-quality gear with a premium price tag, or affordable gear that felt cheap.
I wanted something in between.
That's why I started Mat Frog.
The goal is simple: create high-quality Jiu-Jitsu gear that looks good, performs on the mat, and doesn't come with an unreasonable price tag.
We're not trying to reinvent Jiu-Jitsu. We're making gear we'd actually want to train in — comfortable, durable, functional, and built for the mat.
